What personal information does Bubbles Car Care collect?

We collect personal information you provide when you:

• Book or enquire about a service (name, email, mobile, service address, vehicle details, notes, and any photos you upload)
• Create or sign in to an account (name, email, and related account details)
• Purchase a gift card (your details and any recipient details you provide)
• Contact us (name, email, mobile, message)
• Use a referral or promo code where offered

When you visit our website we may also collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, through cookies and measurement tools where enabled.

What happens when you sign in with Google?

If you choose Sign in with Google, we receive basic account information from Google needed to identify you and prefill booking details: typically your name, email address, and profile identifier.

We request only the minimum Google scopes required for this (openid, email, and profile). We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, or Contacts through this sign-in.

We do not sell Google user data. You can still book as a guest without signing in.

If Google sign-in is unavailable, you can continue checkout as a guest.

How do we use your information?

We use your information to:

• Process and manage booking requests and confirmed bookings
• Contact you about your booking (including text or email confirmation)
• Process payments where you pay online
• Respond to enquiries
• Operate referral or promotional offers where you choose to use them
• Improve our website and services
• Meet legal and accounting obligations

How are payments handled?

Online payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. See Stripe’s privacy information at stripe.com/nz/privacy.

Who do we share your information with?

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted providers who help us run the service, including:

• Supabase: authentication and customer/booking data hosting
• Stripe: payment processing
• Google: Sign-In (when you choose it) and website analytics (Google Analytics)
• Google Maps: address suggestions when you book a mobile visit
• Meta: advertising measurement where Meta Pixel is used
• Email service providers: transactional messages about your booking or account

These providers may only use your information to provide their services to us.

How do we use analytics and advertising tools?

We use analytics and advertising measurement tools to understand site use and measure campaigns. We do not send your name, email, phone number, full street address, vehicle registration, or login tokens to Google Analytics, Meta, or ads platforms as event parameters.

How long do we keep your information?

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain booking and service history, and meet legal or accounting requirements. You may ask us to delete your information by contacting us; we will action requests where we are able to under New Zealand law and operational needs.

How can you access, correct or delete your information?

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, and you may ask us to delete information or stop optional marketing messages where those apply.

How do we use cookies?

Our website uses cookies for essential site function, for analytics (Google Analytics), which shows us how the site is used, and for advertising (Google Ads and Meta), which shows us which ads lead to bookings.
